Made in 1943 this rare and important Patek Philippe reference 1538 is the only example known to the market in Pink Gold.
Made from a wonderful two part Eggly Cie case in 18k pink gold with great angular pointed stick lugs that provide great span on the wrist. The case is in excellent conditions through out with thick hallmarks throughout. This piece has added rarity in that it features two import hallmarks to the caseback for Lisbon, Portugal. Portuguese hallmarked Patek Philippe watches are considered extremely rare and collectible.
The dial is a beautiful tone on tone pink Stern Fréres bombe dial with fantastic square pink gold hour markers and roman 12,3,6 and 9, with surrounding pearling. There is a superb guilloché sub-seconds dial with surrounding enamel track.
