This full set Patek Philippe ref.5980/1A-001 Nautilus is an excellent example of the reference. It is preserved in excellent condition, the dial has a beautiful dark black blue tone that catches the light in a captivating way. The stainless steel case and bracelet feature the most beautiful finishes and facets, synonymous with the Nautilus design and the quality one expects of a Patek Philippe.
It is a great complication, with chronograph feature which features a 60 minute and 12 hour counter at 6 with a great contrasting circular design, pairing with the date at 3 to help visibility and functionality. The execution by Patek is excellent, the dial is perfectly balanced and legible, despite the level of complication. It is powered by a very attractive calibre CH 28-520C automatic movement with solid gold rotor. The movement is decorated to the very highest of standards, as expected from the brand, with an attractive Geneva stripe and polished sinks etc. The sapphire exhibition case back provides the perfect view of this great movement. If we compare to the 5711, the ref.5980 represents a great value proposition too for the level of complication.
