A very rare 1st series ref.2526 complete with original GF bracelet and extract from the archives, confirming delivery in 1955 and the gold bracelet.
This exceptional 1st series Patek Philippe 2526 is a special find. Not only is it a wonderful condition 1st series example with immaculate grand feu enamel dial, which would be very rare alone, this example is elevated further by the fact that it came originally delivered with this gorgeous Gay Frères brick link bracelet, confirmed by the extract from the archives.
The large iconic Calatrava silhouette of the ref.2526 pairs perfectly with the exceptionally made GF bracelets of the era, providing a real allure and sense of presence on the wrist, yet few examples were originally delivered with a bracelet and even fewer 1st series examples.
This great piece is in excellent condition. The dial is immaculately preserved and extremely attractive. The case has thick proportions and sharp lines, with a good hallmark between the lugs. The movement is in good mechanical and aesthetic condition and is functioning well.
