This excellent condition Patek Philippe 5396G-014 takes the classic Calatrava form from Patek, a timeless shape and design, but which feels modern thanks to the quality construction and sharp facets to the case, bezel and lugs. The Calatrava form provides the perfect clean aesthetic to house the annual calendar complication, allowing for the easy reading of the day of the week, month, date of the month, moon phase and 24 hrs dial as well as of course the time.

The large 18k white gold case is in excellent condition, having been worn very sparingly by its owner. The rhodium-grey dial provides a nice point of contrast, whilst the pearling for the minutes and white gold Breguet numerals for the hours pair nicely with the case, making for a very clean and cohesive design. The satin sunburst finish of the dial is very attractive and catches the light wonderfully, drawing ones eye to the watch. The design of the watch is very well balanced, lets not forget this is a complicated piece, being an annual calendar, but the 5396 still manages to feel clean and open in its design; it doesn't feel busy at all.

The watch is in excellent condition throughout, the case excellent, dial, excellent and the movement is in lovely condition both aesthetically and mechanically.

The piece is a full set complete with original box and papers and is one of the finest examples of the reference.
