A beautiful women's Vacheron Constantin square watch with attractive teardrop lugs. The 18k yellow gold case is preserved in great condition with both hallmarks sharp and present, it was made by Kaufmann & Houriet, case makers mark key 19, from Geneva. The teardrop lugs soften the lines of the square case and allows the piece to sit perfectly on the wrist. Even the crystal is very nice, the original mineral glass hand cut crystal, of amazing quality and provides a great view through to the dial.
The silvered dial is by Stern Freres, the best dial maker of the era, who made dials for Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and many others, it is preserved in attractive conditions and features applied gold arabic and dot hour markers, providing a pleasing open and simple dial design that is very legible in this delicate size.
The 17 jewels manual wound movement is decorated to the highest of standards as one would expect from Vacheron Constantin, with Geneva striped finishing and hand polished bevels around the jewels. It is in good condition both mechanically and aesthetically and is functioning well, keeping good time.
This wonderful piece represents outstanding value, it showcases the finest standards of workmanship by some of the best makers at the time. we have paired it with a gorgeous handmade in France, Camille Fournet strap in a lapis blue, helping the piece to pop on the wrist whilst remaining elegant and refined.
